Move email with Gmail not working properly with sublabels

Hi,

I’m trying to move an email between subfolders (or sublabels in gmail) using the Use gmail en move Email activities, but when I move the email from one label tot the other the mail is labeled with both labels.
Moving it from the top label to a sub label is no problem, but the issue occurs when moving between sublabels.
To be honest I expect it to work in the same way as outlook folders, but I understand that this might be different in Gmail. SO could someone please explain why it works like this and how I can change labels without just adding one.

Hi @Barend ,

Instead of typing the Folder name directly, can you directly select the folder:

On Move to Click Plus on the right side of the field, and then, from the menu, select the email account and the folder where to move the email. Alternatively, choose one of the other options from the menu to indicate the folder where to move the email:

Thank you for the reply, but the same issue occurs.
The input for move to is also the same when selecting the folder via the menu. So it’s just the string with the folder/label path.

Can you try this functionality manually in gmail? If its working as expected.

Yes if I perform the action manually it works as expected. (like folders in outlook)

Not too sure, why its keeping the email still under the same label too, ideally it should move th email, however as a workaround you can delete the email after moving.

It’s the same mail, but with two labels. So deleting the mail is not an option.

Are you trying to move a single email or a email chain. Move email activity changes the label to the new folder if its a single mail.

Have you tried the new Move Email with Connections from the new set of Gmail Activities?

We’ve tested it out, and it works fine on those ones.
