More options for "Source" column on a Job run

This is just an idea that has been lurking in my mind for a while…

We need more options for “Source” column on a Job Run.
Right now, it just says “Manual” or “ScheduleName”.

I know you can check the Audit, but I think in the Jobs section instead of Manual, we should be able to see which Robot or Process that triggered it.
For example,
“Manual (Robot1)” or “Manual (Process1_Env1)”

When all it says is “Manual”, we can’t tell if a Developer started it, which Developer started it, or if a Process was coded to start the job. So more information could be helpful in recognizing how a Job was started.

That’s an interesting thought I’ll say

That will help us clearly in auditing

You can use the API for starting a job ( /odata/Jobs/UiPath.Server.Configuration.OData.StartJobs) and define your own source format. It accepts string so you can even add dynamic informations.

Is this not good enough ? Or do you want a template like to be applied on all jobs.

Oh interesting. Maybe if this could also be included in the Start Job activity.

I can look into using API too.

As long as there is a way to differentiate what was triggered by another robot or process and what was triggered physically by a person, it would help. I think the Start Job as an activity is a little more accessible to everyone though.

Thank you for your suggestion. I added it to our internal ideas tracker for our team to consider.

Sorry for resurrecting very old thread. Could you please help with sample of this one?
