I’m starting to get to know the tool for mobile.
And I see when I choose the option: selection by absolute position and after I click on an element I get this error. Does anyone know why and how to fix it?
That mode of operation is for controlling the device (when you don’t have access to the device: eg. a device in a device farm). In your case this shouldn’t be a blocker because you have access to the emulator.
This being said, if you want to report this error, you should include as much detail as possible.
- Logs/Timeline Database - Test Suite - Logs and Execution Timeline
- Appium Logs - Test Suite - Debugging
When you report an error you should attach the appium log and/or the timeline log. These are showing exactly what happen and can be used to track down where the error happened.
