Missing Activities in Imported Project (Same UiPath Version) – Need Help Without Upgrading

Hi UiPath Community,

I’m encountering an issue with a project imported from my colleague and would appreciate your help. Here’s the detailed scenario:

Problem Description

  1. My Environment:
  • UiPath Studio version: [Your version, e.g., 2022.10.4] *(see Image 1 for package versions).
  • In a new project, all activities (e.g., Mail, SAP) appear normally in the Activities panel (see Image 2).
  1. Imported Project:
    My colleague (using the same UiPath version) shared a project, but when I open it:
    Errors show: This activity is missing or could not be loaded.
    Mail/SAP activities are missing(see Image 3), even though they exist in my new projects.

Constraints

  • Company policy prohibits upgrading UiPath versions.
  • The project works fine on my colleague’s machine (same version).

need help

  1. Why do activities disappear in the imported project despite matching versions?
  2. How can I resolve this without upgrading UiPath?

Thank you for your time and expertise!

Hi @kaminali1983

This is probably due to missing packages in the project. Could you check the version of the Packages.
You can solve this issue by upgrading the version of the Package to the one your colleague has.

Thanks for the suggestion, but we can’t upgrade due to company policy. The strange thing is these activities work in new projects and on my colleague’s machine (same version), but fail in their shared project. Any ideas how to fix this without upgrading? Maybe a project setting needs adjusting?

I’m not saying to upgrade UiPath. I’m saying Packages.

You cannot upgrade the packages either?

Yeah, we’re not allowed to upgrade. The key point is my colleague uses exactly the same package version as me.

@kaminali1983,

One approach you can take here is copy the packages working on your colleague from his/her .nuget package folder and paste the same into your machines .nuget package folder.

@kaminali1983

Looks like a modern and classic difference issue

Can you check the activities panel in your collegue and see which activity is missing

Also you can go to filter in activities and select classic or modern

Cheers

@kaminali1983,

Make sure all the filters are selected in the Activities panel
