Migrating from BP to UiPath Cloud: Architecture & Development Flow
Hi, we’re moving 8 processes from Blue Prism 7.0.1 to UiPath Automation Cloud . We need to quickly grasp the shift.
Where do we develop: On-prem Studio Desktop or Cloud Studio Web for complex processes?
What fully replaces the Blue Prism Control Room/Application Server in the cloud?
If using Cloud Robots, do we still manage the Runtime Resource VMs ourselves?
What is the process to deploy a new process once development is complete?
It depends on the applications involved in the automation. If automating a desktop application like SAP or any other, Studio Desktop works better. If API based automations or more of intelligent automations, Studio Web is better. You can anytime switch between both the Studio versions without loosing your code.

Mostly the automations include Excel, Word, Outlook, Banner ERP Suite, Oracle SQL Query runs, shared drive file handling etc
@Hemanth_Kumar9 ,
For Office Apps you can prefer Office 365 Integration Services which is easy, reliable, easy to maintain.
@ashokkarale , Given the goal of building and maintaining robust, enterprise-grade REFramework processes, is it the current best practice and most stable approach to install UiPath Studio Desktop on our developers’ machines, or can we rely entirely on UiPath Studio Web ?
@Hemanth_Kumar9
REF is still the best practice and yes Studio desktop is best for the use case you have for development.
