Microsoft Word - Not able to run macro from UIPath

I am trying to run a Word Macro on a new Word document I have created in a sequence.

I have tried the following:

  • using hot-keys to pull up the Macro window and run
  • used a recording sequence to pull up the macro and run

Both of these look like they are executed as I observe the process running, but the formatting provided in the macro is not taking affect? If I open the new Word document manually after my sequence has finished running I can run the Macro and everything adjusts as it should.

I see that the Excel Package has a “Execute Macro” in UIPath, but Word does not. Can anyone tell me if there is a way around this?

I found that my hot-key sequence was not set up correctly (the selector was not pointing to the correct Word document). Once I corrected this the macro was able to run via the hot-key sequence.
