pls what does this mean? i have microsoft 2013 installed on my computer. also is there a way i can go throught all of this without having to use microsoft tools at all? i prefer using google tools like google sheets or wps. i have been unable to get anything involving microsoft done so far

Is Microsoft Excel installed on the machine?
To use the Excel Activities package, you need to have Excel installed.

i have excel installed, both in studio and on the machine. i have also installed different versions of dependencies
Which version of Excel do you have installed?
And could it be that there are several vertions or left over files from previous versions present?
Perhaps take a look in the installation folder.

it works now. i discovered i opened wps already so i think studio just used wps as the default automatically. i closed wps app and ran the project again and it worked. thank you
