What is the use case

Use case Name : Yearly Appraisal Letter

Data Flow: Excel Template —> Word Template ----> Outlook Mail with PDF Attachment

How do you see a solution for the use case?

Description:
Use excel data to create word document and send this document through email as a pdf attachment

  • Open Word Template and Excel data file using UiPath Activity
  • Excel data file contains name, salary, Incremented Salary Amount, email id and employee id
  • Create letter using Word template, replace the tags in word file with excel data fields (Employee ID:, Employee Name, Salary, Increment Amount )
  • Convert word template to PDF Appraisal letter and save document in local hard drive
    -Attach pdf template and send email to employee email address

Good.

I also did this project this year for appraisal letters.

One change was, I created the letter template in Excel itself (instead of using Word), so it’s easy to write program to alter the names, figures, etc in the letter template.

Then export the excel sheet as PDF and attach to the mail.
