Manipulate rich text out of an RTF to be send with an email

Hi everybody,

I’m trying to create an email with links, bullets and different text styles in the body. Therefore I have a RTF as a basic template. As I need to manipulate the text, I simply can’t copy & paste my text e.g. into outlook.

How can I copy rich text out of the RTF into a string-kind variable, that keeps the properties but allows me to perform string functions like “replace” or “split”?

Thanks for the help.

Best, Nils.

Ok, I found a solution by myself.

  1. Create a template and save it as a .msg file. Mark variables as variable or or as you like.
  2. Close Outlook.
  3. Open .msg with run-command (WIN+R) - simply fill in your full path to the file and let the bot press “ok”.
  4. The template will be opened so you may edit subject, body without touching the styles. I used CTRL+H to replace variables.
  5. Let the bot open outlook to send out all mails

For me this works pretty fine.
