Manage Excel with more than one lakh records

In an interview , the interviewer asked me suppose if there are more than one lakh records in an excel workbook. how do you copy It into a csv file ? I said the normal approach , like using a read range in excel application scope and store it into a datatable .use that datatable to write it into a csv file. But the interview did not seem to be happy with this response. Is there any other way that is better than this approach for a greater volume ?

That’s a good answer indeed
File type conversion just from xlsx to csv is fine but still it would be a excel file only not csv as it becomes unusable
