Linux On-Premise Install Blocker: RHEL 8.9 & SQL Server Encryption Requirement

Hello,

I am currently blocked during a new on-premise installation of UiPath 2024.10.3 on a RHEL 8.9 server.

The Problem: The installer requires an encrypted connection to our MS SQL Server.

My Environment:

  • UiPath Server: RHEL 8.9
  • Database: MS SQL Server Driver Version (Version 17/18)
  • Network: The SQL server is on the same network and is configured to accept connections that use TrustServerCertificate=True (or equivalent) without full certificate validation.

The Blocker: The UiPath installer does not seem to have an option to “Trust Server Certificate” and fails because it requires a fully encrypted connection, which our SQL server is not set up for.

My Question:

  1. Is there a way to pass a TrustServerCertificate=True parameter to the Linux installer?
  2. Can this encryption check be bypassed during installation?
  3. What is the recommended procedure for connecting to an internal SQL server that does not use forced encryption?

We are unable to complete the installation and therefore cannot generate a license key to open a formal support ticket.

Thank you for your help.
