How to troubleshooting the error "License validation failed! The license file appears to be corrupted"

Issue description

Attempting to open UiPath Studio prompts the following error message: "License validation failed! The license file appears to be corrupted."


Root Cause

License file content is altered or corrupted which will lead to Validation failed errors.


Resolution

Approach 1:

  1. Close all UiPath-related applications.
  2. Direct to the following directory: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming.
  3. Find and delete any directories named "UiPath".
  4. Launch UiPath Studio and establish a connection to Orchestrator using the required machine key or sign-in credentials.


Approach 2:

Perform a clean uninstallation of the Studio and re-install it referring to the following KB Article - How to Perform A Clean Studio Reinstallation?
Important workflows and settings could be lost during uninstallation, so ensure these are noted down somewhere.
