Kill Job after

Hello dear forum,
I’m trying to better understand the “Schedule ending of jobs” functionality.

What I know:

  1. If I set “Stop job after” (e.g., 6 hours), my understanding is that a stop request will be sent 6 hours after the job was triggered, regardless of whether it’s still in a pending or running state.

What I don’t know:
If I set “Kill job after”, does it take as a reference the moment the job was triggered, or the moment when the Stop job after action was executed?

The difference is:

  • In the first case, the job would be killed before the “Stop job after” occurs.
  • In the second case, the job would be killed one hour after the stop request was sent.

So, that’s my question :slightly_smiling_face:
I just want to know whether I should set “Kill job after” to 1 hour or 7 hours.

@KevinDS

kill starts after stop

cheers

Thank you very much!
