hope you got the solution.
issue was - 1) you were assigning one value to variable and instead of using the new assigned variable, you were using again the previous variable.
2) if u replace " " with " ." , than in case of multiple space , multiple dots(ā€¦) are assigned which is not define in any integer.
3) u handled only ($) but (-) sign is also available.
