Issue with identifying element inside popup in chrome

I am trying to identify elements within a popup in chrome. However it looks like the process of identifying element gets very slow. Hovering over elements happens with around few seconds of delay when there is a popup in the browser tab. Whereas in Firefox, Popups are not even being identified.
