Is licenced Excel required?

Hi,
Are we need a licensed excel application in our machine, in order to do excel related operations?

@SN2 - you can perform operation for .xlsx files without installing the excel app in your machine.

When i am closing the open excel file using close window an login popup occurring and bot got failed.

For this issue like it is saying to licence your MS Office right ??

For that you must have MS Office Licence version so that it wont popup in between while bot is running

hi @SN2,

Yes , using activities under Excel application scope will require MS office license.

If you are performing basic excel task, go with workbook activities they dont require MS office license.
