I’m struggling to get emails into my Communications Mining project.
I successfully set up an Integration with my external Outlook email account and configured a bucket for the data and enabled this integration.
I created a source pointing to that bucket.
I added that source to my dataset.
However, no emails are getting into my CM project. I don’t know where the breakdown is. I don’t see any logging capabilities. I’m able to read these emails into Studio using the ‘For Each Email’ activity, but when I try setting up the Integration from CM, nothing happens.
Any ideas on what might be wrong or how I can go about debugging this?
Is there a way to know if the emails are making it into my bucket?
Are they making it into my source?
Thanks for the quick reply.
I had already seen that link and I believe I’ve set everything up accordingly, but I still don’t see any new messages. Note that i’ve uploaded .csv files from 2 other sources and I see them, but nothing from my integration. Any other recommendations?
I am still not able to receive any emails from my Integration. I reviewed the documentation provided by Anil, but that didn’t help. Any ideas on how to debug this? There must be some sort of logging that I can enable to see if CM is even trying to go out and read my Inbox.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
it might be the ‘Allowed folders’ path to your mailbox in the integration settings. You need to define it, even if it’s just ‘Inbox’ and make sure that it follows the suggested pattern of: root/Top of Information Store/Inbox (last bit, after ‘…Store/’ is where you start the actual folder path as seen in Outlook).
Make sure to have no typos.
You mentioned that already, but make sure the bucket specified in the integration matches the one in the source. Check for any exclusion filters you might have on that integration, e.g. denied folders. Lastly, check if the integration and mailbox toggles are enabled.
I think I also had a situation once when “root/Top of Information Store/” was translated to my local language, so if all above fails you might try checking how it’s called in your language, but that’s a long shot, I didn’t make a screenshot, so not sure if that actually happened.
Hi Tomasz, I tried your ‘allowed folders’ suggestion, but I’m still not getting any emails into CM. I did notice one thing that might be my issue. The documentation states that I need to create a ‘Service Account’ in Azure, but the personal MS account I have does not allow that. I raised a request to get my work to create this ‘Service Account’ for me, but the request is currently pending.
In the meantime, I’m still open to suggestions/comments.
yeah, could be the thing. I’m a newbie with Azure, my colleague set it up for me, coz she’s an expert.
Let’s see how your request gets resolved. If you need further help after that, drop me an email at tomasz.wierzbicki@office-samurai.com and we’ll try to figure it out, maybe via Teams with some screen sharing.
Hi Sandeep, I was doing this UiPath work as a POC for my employer. Unfortunately shortly after the above response from Tomasz, I was layed off so I stopped working on this.
I might start this up again for my own personal education, but no, I never got this working. If you did, please let me know.
