Integration Service - Unable to trigger a process with Microsoft Sharepoint event trigger when using a shared folder in Sharepoint Sites

What are Requirements for using Shared Folders for Integration Service Sharepoint Trigger

Resolution

  1. This can be due to the Authenticated user not having the following permissions.
    • The user will need to be member of the Site that the shared folder resides

    • Have access to the desired folder by an admin sharing the folder to the user

    • The user will need to be following the share point site where the Shared folder resides.

  1. Once the above is configured, the authenticated user should have access to the folder for Trigger by navigating to:

Connection > Manage Trigger > Add Trigger

  1. The drive you want to select is SharePoint Document Libraries (followed sites) in order to find the shared folder in the site:

  1. The shared folder will be in the folder hierarchy as seen in your sharepoint account. It will only show the parent folder however.
  1. To narrow down to the specific folder, select the parent folder in Drive and then in Data Filters, you can select Folder Equals (your specific folder).

This Trigger should now be able to work with your shared folder.
