Why it is not possible to access Insights owing to a licensing error? OR Despite having a valid license, why can't Insights be accessed?
Issue Synopsis:
Sometimes, after a successful installation of Insights, the following error is thrown while attempting to launch the application in the browser:
Troubleshooting / Resolving the Issue:
- Verify if the license includes Insights as an offering. Check the purchase order or alternatively reach out to a UiPath representative (Account Executive/ CSM/ TAM/ dSupport) to validate this information.
- The license check is done by Insights querying the Host tenant. As such, it is a requirement for the license to be uploaded at the Orchestrator Host level for Insights to function as expected. Hence, if the license is uploaded at the tenant level, deactivate it from there and apply it to the Host instead. When it is uploaded to Host, it looks like the below.
- Try disabling and re-enabling the Insights feature from the Orchestrator Host portal. (Enabling Insights Tenants)
- Sign out and Sign In to Insights, and verify. Also, if required, clear the cache and check the behavior upon a fresh launch.
- Restart the Insights site and recycling the Insights app pools from IIS, and check if that helps resolve the issue. If it does not, perform a server restart and recheck the outcome.
- The Insights application ideally checks if Insights is enabled every 10 minutes. Occasionally, Orchestrator might need to be restarted if this check seems to be hampered. So, it is recommended to perform an Orchestrator restart if nothing else seems to help.
- Check the EV logs on the Insights server. If an error "The given key ______ was not present in the dictionary......" arises from the UiPath Insights Provisioning Source, follow these steps: Insights Tenant Setup Failed With The Given Key Not Present In The Dictionary
If the issue persists after performing all the above steps, collect the following details and send it over to UiPath Support team to investigate this further:
- The license code
- A HAR trace after reproducing the issue
- EV logs from the Insights and Orchestrator servers .
