Insights Is Not Compatible With FIPS Enabled Linux VM

FIPS enabled Linux is incompatible with Insights/Looker.

Issue: Looker initialization just hangs forever and does not move forward.

Root Cause: FIPS enabled Linux is incompatible with Insights/Looker.

Resolution:

  1. Run the following command to check for FIPS:
  • cat /proc/sys/crypto/fips_enabled
  1. If the answer is 1, then FIPS is enabled and it is not possible to move forward.
