In what scenario did you need to invoke C#.Net(or any other) code/script into the workflow?

Can you give an example of a scenario, where you were forced to/opted for invoking C#.Net(or any other) code/script into the workflow, rather than using activities alone?
All real-time example/samples welcome.
This is not a question with just a single correct answer, so keep posting as many scenarios you came across, and what programming language/script you invoked. This will expose us all to the various possibilities.

Hi @Athrix05

One example would be to do some transformation within Excel which are sometimes easier done with a VB macro
