Improved search bar for our UiPath Forum

We made a small improvement to the search bar on our Forum to make it easier to use.

Please let us know if you like it, and while we are here, please also tell us which other areas of the Forum can be improved for your better user experience

If a search can be given on our activity or posts specifically…it would be better sometimes when similar questions come up to quickly check and get it linked…that way reposting samething again can be avoided…we sometimes know that a specific solution has been provided by a user but cant specifically search on the activity or posts …can search only at the question level as of now

Cheers

Hi @loginerror ,
Nice, it’s quite useful, I hope UiPath will develop more utilities,
Example activity translate free to convert any language.

You can modify the search with things like @nickname to limit the search.

Feel free to explore all the options that you can select in the broader advanced search, which simply adds those modifiers to the search term bar as extra input. This way you will be able to quickly use them yourself from the quick search.

Hi @loginerror ,

The new look does look great, but there is something which I think is removed and which was available previously.

After you search for a query in the Search Bar, we click on enter the results are shown, but if we had clicked on Enter again it would show us the broader search results and not only within that Scope of Search Bar.

But it looks like it is not happening with the current update. For the current update, we would have to scroll down and click on More to get the broader search results. Is this intended ?

Indeed, I think this new widget does not have this functionality.

We’ll see how to bring it back. But in the meantime, the workaround that is keyboard only would be to tap TAB twice to get to this element and press enter then:

Hi @supermanPunch

I noticed a small side effect of our fix to the search bar issue that we encountered some time ago.

Mainly - the double Enter now opens the full search as it used to in the past
