IMAP Business Exception

This is surprising for me now, I am working on automation where I have to get the input file from the mail. I created a logic where it will check the specific subject and download the file or else it will throw an error.

It ran successfully several times but now when I am doing some tests it throws the ERROR. It has everything the subject the Excel file in the mail, even though the mail is unread still it shows the same.

Has anyone faced such an issue prior?

Are you saying that condition got satisfied and not able to download the attachments. Am I Correct…?

Thanks Nithin, There is no difference in the subject line and making changes to it didn’t resolve the issue. However, we found that the source of the email was not a valid email address and it was system a generated email. Once we changed it to a valid email address, the process started working fine. It seems to be a bug in Gmail rather than UiPath code that the email activity cannot read an unread email coming from non-standard email. For now this issue can be closed. I will be marking this …

yes!! it satisfies the condition of the mail subject and checks for specific “.xlsx” file but still throws the BE.

Could you share your workflow if possible, if you don’t have any confidential information… @Anirudh_Tugawe

I observed sometimes it doesn’t read the mail but always throws the same error.

This may be happen in two reasons,

1. May be you have given the other mail account credentials in the properties.
2. The Subject is mismatches the value in the Config file and in the mail and one more is there is no attachments in the mail.

If it’s not working, then use the other mail activities.

If your input mail is Google then use the gmail activities, if it is outlook then try to use Get outlook mail message activity.

Hi @Anirudh_Tugawe - make sure the email has an attachment, it checking condition. Also try to log both the subject from config and the subject before the condition just to understand is it anything difference in it.
