I'm unable to extract the table from pdf using DU

Hi All,
I’m unable to extract the table from pdf using document understanding. After extraction,i’m trying to write the data in excel but entire data coming in one row. Please go through the screenshot attached below. Kindly give your suggestions.

Are you using a Form extractor or a ML extractor? If you are using a form extractor you have to tell it where to pull the table from and separate the rows and columns. then save the table. Hope this helps. If you are not using a form extractor, you may want to try that, especially if your docs are standardized.

How do u seperate rows and columns?

Follow the below steps

  1. First read your excel to DataTable.
  2. open for each row loop
  3. Trim the column title like row(“Column Name”).Tostrig.Trim
  4. Split by new line as
    arr = row(“Column name ”).tostring.Split(Environment.NewLine.TocharArray)
  5. Now assign arr(0) to category and arr(1)

Thanks for ur reply, my issue is I am trying to extract an invoice details and tables to excel using form extractor. In the output other details are ordered but the table fields has all the details in one cell/row instead of different cells/ rows

You have to initially set up your Taxonomy to pull a table (you have to set the fields in table) then you can pull in the data into the proper fields and it will pull into a DT.
