I want to change a cell's format from generic to date

I am getting from data from an email and is putting it in a data table. One of the specific column is supposed to be a date and when I use write range and put the data into excel, the data that was supposed to be dates are all in generic format. Is there a way I can use an activity to change the format of the cell.
