Yes, it is possible to create a shortcut from SharePoint to your local PC in order to use Excel activities in StudioX. By creating a shortcut, you can easily access and manipulate Excel files stored in SharePoint directly from StudioX without the need for manual file transfers.
To create a shortcut from SharePoint to your local PC, you can follow these general steps:
- Open the SharePoint site or document library where the Excel file is located.
- Locate the Excel file you want to work with and right-click on it.
- In the context menu, select “Copy shortcut” or a similar option that copies the file’s URL.
- Go to your local PC and navigate to the desired location where you want to create the shortcut.
- Right-click in the folder and select “New” followed by “Shortcut.”
- In the shortcut creation window, paste the SharePoint file’s URL that you copied earlier.
- Click “Next” and provide a name for the shortcut.
- Click “Finish” to create the shortcut.
