I can't find Flowchart in Studio 2025.10.0 to add to my project

Hi all, I need to add a flowchart to my project. To get that I am typing ‘Flowchart’ in search window of Studio (2025.10.0 LTS) but can’t find that. Requests to help. Thanks

Hi @musmanq ,

Try to create a new project with windows-legacy compatibility. Cheers!!

Thanks for your reply. Windows legacy option is grayed out in my studio.

Good day,
Alright let’s check some prerequisites before we move further, when you search for “flow chart” I encourage you to drag pass the visible excel activities and check if you can find something called as “Workflows” you can locate flowcharts there. Also makes sure from the filter icon you enable “Classic” if it’s available. I hope this works.
Cheers!!

Hi @musmanq

Have you tried scrolling to the bottom of your Activities pane in the left side?
I believe there is a bug where Excel Activities will always be at the top when searching for activities.

Hello @musmanq

This looks like a StudioX layout where we don’t have flowchart by default as we build the process using the activities placed directly onto the main.xaml file by following a linear flow approach. There’s a way to enable Developer (that is, Studio based) functionality but it’s not designed for StudioX as mentioned in the warning and may not be supported as well

You may need to acquire a Automation Developer (or) a license that grants you access to Studio layout where flowchart functionality is fully supported. Right now, I think you have Automation Express license that grants you StudioX (ref)

since you are in studio x, you won’t be able to access flow chart, change your profile to stuido,

  • Go to the Home screen
  • Click “Settings” (:gear:) in the bottom-left corner.
  • Choose “License and Profile” from the left panel.
  • Under Profile, click “View or Change Profile”.
  • Select “UiPath Studio” (instead of StudioX).
  • UiPath will prompt to restart → click Yes.
After restart, you’ll be in Studio mode.

Hope this helps!

Windows Legacy has been planned to be deprecated for a very long time now, and you can no longer make new Windows - Legacy projects in the latest Studio version.
This seems like a very random thing to suggest, basically guessing perhaps. I’d avoid suggestions like this in the future since its not really possible anymore aswell as Windows compatibility being the main supported version for some years now. This was an issue of it being Studio X.

Thanks everyone for your efforts. As suggested by Convalescer I checked ‘Developer’ option available within filter and typed ‘flowchart’. But no result was found. Then I scrolled down to the bottom of activities as suggested by SorenB and there was ‘flowchart’. I have inserted it to my work space. Now, search is showing result on top even on unchecking ‘Developer’.
Thanks to all once again.
