How to use 'Verify Control Attribute' correctly?

I’m slightly new to testing in UiPath, but I was using a ‘Verify Control Attribute’ activity, and I’m running into problems. The first being that I am not sure what to set the other side to - I currently have it set to a variable that’s a empty string. The second being I don’t understand why I cannot choose != as an operator. And the third being, running into a verification error every time the test is run.
