How to use Abbyy Connector in Uipath automation

We want to use Abbyy connector in UiPath automation to extract unstructured pdf/excel data which is coming as attachment in mail. So need some info about Abbyy connector such as how to install, is it licensed, how much cost, and which Abbyy version to install like cloud or desktop .

To use ABBYY OCR technology within UiPath, you typically need to install the ABBYY FlexiCapture Engine or ABBYY FineReader Engine.

How i can install it? Is it need any license.

For Abby OCR activity to work, you need to install ABBYY FineReader Engine and purchase a license for it.

Before you start just remember ABBYY OCR will be additional license cost to UiPath licenses.

ABBYY have two flavors of OCR engines.

  1. ABBYY Felxicapture - Requires exe installation. Refer this for installation - Installing ABBYY FlexiCapture

I would suggest to go with ABBYY Vintage as it’s fully cloud and don’t require any installation.

Kindly consider factors such as the complexity of your documents, volume of processing, and integration with UiPath when making your decision.

I have get confirmation from UiPath technical support that ABBYY is no longer supported by UiPath and we can’t purchase ABBYY license.

Ohh ok. May be due to conflict of interest. UiPath have their own product now document understanding.
