We recently upgraded our enterprise orchestrator from 2018 to 2022 and now we have to upgrade our agents. Can someone help me how to upgrade the agents?
We only have attended users in the orchestrator and I know that in the new versions of orchestrator we have an option called auto upgrade the client components. In our case as we only have attended users what are the client components that I need to update?
Is the agent means robot?
If that is the case then is possible to upgrade the robots from 2019.4.3 version to latest version i.e., 2022.10.6 or newer?
Yes it is possible

If you only have attended users in UiPath Orchestrator, then the client components that you need to update are the Robot and Assistant.
The Robot is the software that executes your UiPath processes. The Assistant is a user interface that allows you to interact with your UiPath processes.
To update the Robot and Assistant, you can use the auto upgrade feature in UiPath Orchestrator. To do this, you need to enable the Auto Upgrade Client Components checkbox in the Orchestrator settings. Once you have enabled the auto upgrade feature, Orchestrator will automatically update the Robot and Assistant to the latest version when they are connected to Orchestrator.
Note: The Auto Upgrade Client Components feature is only available in UiPath Orchestrator 2021.10 or newer.
If you are using an older version of UiPath Orchestrator, then you need to update the Robot and Assistant manually. To do this, you can download and install the latest version of the UiPath agent installer on each robot machine.

Yes, in UiPath terminology, the term “Robot” and “Agent” are used interchangeably. They refer to the same UiPath component that executes automation workflows on a local machine.
You can upgrade UiPath Robots (formerly known as UiPath Agents) from version 2019.4.3 to the latest version, such as 2022.10.6 or any newer version. The process of upgrading UiPath Robots involves updating the UiPath Robot software on the machine where the Robot is installed.

So what we do is sending a upgrade request to user from orchestrator (From machines>edit machines>maintenance>client binaries(Latest version))but we don’t have an option to select only robot and assistant right. So in that case it will only update the available client components with respect to that user. Correct me if I am wrong.
And the check box for auto upgrading the client components in Orchestrator general settings have checked(ignore auto upgrade status for robot machines that were offline for more than 60 days). Is this what you ae referring to in that point?
Yes, that is correct. If you send an upgrade request to a user from Orchestrator, it will only update the available client components with respect to that user. This includes the Robot and Assistant, as well as any other client components that are available to that user.
The checkbox for auto upgrading the client components in Orchestrator general settings controls whether or not Orchestrator will automatically upgrade client components when they are connected to Orchestrator. If you have this checkbox enabled, then Orchestrator will automatically upgrade the Robot and Assistant to the latest version when they are connected to Orchestrator.

But recently I have added a machine and provided a attended user access to his robot but it was showing the same version of robot which he previously have. I believe it won’t be upgraded when the robot is connected to the orchestrator until you send the upgrade request from orchestrator to robot.
