How to set the time out in desktop application

Hello everyone ,

I have an application where i need to enter an option number and click go. Here , i need to put a time so that the option number is entered in time , if it is not entered , then it should throw a system exception error and then loop back so that the option number is entered.
I have used click image and type into activity to input the option number , but i am not sure how to make it time out so that we can get an error

Could any one help me on this please

To wait for some time use Delay Activity.

Its a desktop application , so i thought this delay activity is not required . Can we do that using TimeoutMS property instead either in click image or type into activity
