How to run a process on floating robot from one pc to another?

Hey @Fahad_Masood

Yes you are right,

One machine → Many robot users

Each user should be allocated with a separate license.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

DEAR NITIN,
I’VE MADE A NEW GOOGLE ACCOUNT, INVITE THE USER AND ADDED THE MACHINE AS WELL NUT WHEN I TRIED TO SIGN IN TO UIPATH ASSISTANT IT SHOW CONNECTED UNLICENCED. IT SHOULD BE LICENSED RIGHT IF YOU ARE SIGNING IN WITH DIFFERENT GOOGLE ACCOUNT.

dear nitin,
is this what you want to see

dear nitin,
i am sending you all these pictures so you can get an idea. there is some confusion regarding licenses when you invite a new user

Hi @Fahad_Masood,

You can see that you only have one license for unattended robot. So even if you have two users now, those two users do not have two dedicated licenses.

Please go through the previous post from @Nithinkrishna and I.

dear jeevith,
so what i can do now to solve this problem. i went through your previous post but could’nt get an clear idea. could you please write the steps of what i should be doing next as i’ve done searching from the internet and youtube but still stuck with this problem. first it was a robot issue w its the license.

dear jeevith,
i’ve tried to remove the second robot but it shows jobs running message on a specific folder and when i look at it there is no such thing. why is this happening to me. all i want is to run process from one pc to another using floating robot

dear nitin,
need your help with this what should i do next

please do let me know what should i do next. that will be really helpfull

Hey @Fahad_Masood

You have only one Un-Attended license and you can only connect one robot with it.

If you want to connect other robot you will need to disconnect one and add the other.

You need to increase the license to add multiple robots.

Thanks

You cannot run two robots simultaneously with only one unattended license.

Once the license is not in use by your first machine, the other machine you can run the robot as the machine template will automatically give access to the unused license.

Think of this as a case where you need to give something up before you can have something. When you have multiple licenses, you do not need to do all this.

A case where I use floating robot is where I have two studio licenses and I use two different windows machines and I can easily develop on anyone of them without having to close / signout / disconnect from one of them.

dear nitin,
how do i increase license to add multiple robots

if i want to increase license how do i do it

Hey @Fahad_Masood

You need to upgrade your plan.

If you are trying somthing new to check, go for enterprise trial of 60days.

Thanks

Hey @Fahad_Masood

The above can be done from Admin panel, Licenses page.

Thanks

@Fahad_Masood I am assuming you are working for an organization and need to know how to increase the number of licenses.

  1. Log into your cloud account and click on “Manage”

  2. Click on Licenses in the left menu

  3. Click on robot/services

  4. Buy now

dear jeevith,
so basically i have to buy the licenses. but can my problem can be solved if i try the enterprise trial version.

dear jeevith,
i want to ask you something what if i want to float my license automatically. because my process is running once at the time cause i have to disconnect license manually from pc 1 in order for pc 2 to run. can you tell me how can make this happen.
