How to Restore the Designer Panel in UiPath Studio

How can one resolve the issue of the UiPath Studio not displaying the Designer Panel even after restarting the software?

Issue Description

Users may experience an issue where the Designer panel disappears from the UiPath Studio interface. This result is a reduced workspace, making it tricky to develop workflows effectively. This problem persists even after restarting Studio.


Symptoms:

In this scenario, the UiPath Studio interface may appear without the Designer panel. A typical screen without the Designer panel looks like the image below:


Resolution

To address this issue and restore the Designer panel, follow these steps:

  1. Launch UiPath Studio.
  2. Click on the "Home" tab located in the upper left corner.
  3. In the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
  4. In the "Settings" interface, look for the "Reset Settings" button and click on it.

  1. A confirmation dialog will appear, asking to confirm if the settings reset should be applied. Accept this by clicking on "Confirm".
  2. Once the settings have been reset successfully, close and restart UiPath Studio.

After restarting, the Designer panel should now be visible again, providing a workspace for workflow development.

Note: "Reset Settings" will restore all settings in UiPath Studio to their default values. If any other tweaks or customizations to Studio settings were made, these will be lost during this process.
