How to read excel from sharepoint using excel scope?

While using excel scope, it is giving an error message that excel file name too long.
Can anyone help me in this please?

Below is the error message:

Excel application scope : The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

Is the full path to the file shorter than 260 characters and still giving this error?
