How to publish libraries to marketplace

  1. Go to UiPath, Click on marketplace

  2. Register a profile in UiPath marketplace (there are different types of user profile
    for more check the UiPath marketplace documentation)

  3. Before publishing a library to the marketplace
    • Follow the standards for quality content for custom activities, snippets, workflow
    templates and solutions. For more check the UiPath marketplace documentation

  4. To publish a listing → Access UiPath marketplace, Click create listing.
    The create listing option is available in the drop-down list of the publisher account
    tab. The Create Listing Form consists of several sections
    o Select your file
    o Description
    o Files and Terms
    o Pricing Details (will appear if we select paid listing)

  5. Select your file
    • Monetization Type: Please select whether you want to submit a free listing or a
    paid one (to use paid user profile must be vendor and vendor profile is applicable
    only for company profile), this way the form will be displayed according to your
    choice.
    • Listing Language: Select the language from the drop-down menu. Please note
    that the platform currently supports only English and Japanese languages.
    • Product: Select the UiPath product your automation is intended to work with
    o Studio
    o Studio x
    o AI Center
    o Assistant
    o Apps
    o Integration Service

    • Category: Select which type of category you want to publish
    o Custom Activity
    o Connector
    o Template
    o Solution
    o Snippet
    o Tool
    • Listing Type:
    o Downloadable- This type of Content can be downloaded directly from UiPath
    Marketplace
    o Lead- This type of Content cannot be downloaded directly from the platform.
    Interested users will send an inquiry to the author to ask about ways of
    obtaining the automation.
    o External Link- This option is meant to save you from maintaining the listings in
    two places if you already have it published on your own app
    store/marketplace. To download it, people will be redirected to your
    website/marketplace.
    • Card Preview: You can see the preview of your listing card on the top right side of
    the Upload Form each time. The changes reflect there immediately after you
    make them.
    Note: Fulfilment message is applicable for only business solutions(business solutions are available for only paid type)
    • Compatibility: Specify the product version(s), code language, and framework your
    automation is compatible with (if that’s applicable for the category you selected).
    • Upload files (Applicable for Downloadable listings)
    o Upload a listing file (100 MB for all listings (except for ML Models)
    1GB for ML Models and max upload is 1 file)
    o Upload source code (100 MB and max upload is 1 file)

  6. Description
    • Listing Title -This is one of the most important listing elements. It influences your
    reach on the Marketplace search results and represents the initial filter for
    Marketplace Customers when deciding if the listing has the potential to fit their
    needs. Please check the best practices (refer document) to guide you when
    picking one
    • Icon/Logo- you can upload a custom image to be displayed on your listing’s card.
    The image needs to be representative of your listing’s main idea and should
    contain simple symbols. On this spot, you can also add your company logo. If you
    don’t add the listing icon, the default image will be applied.
    • Version- Start with version 0.0. Every change made before publishing the Content
    increases the decimal index. When the first or a new version of the Content is
    published, it changes the version to 1.0.
    • Tags- Indicate up to 5 relevant tags that will help Marketplace Customers find your
    listing more easily. By tags, we mean terms associated with your listing. They are
    used in the search box to find listings with similar tags.
    • Card Summary- Summarize your listing in a short phrase that will best explain
    what it is about.
    • Application- Select the application that is relevant to your listing and that your
    automation is developed for. E.g. Excel, SAP, Outlook. If the necessary application
    name is not on the list, type its name, press enter and we’ll add it for you.
    • Overview- Describe your listing and let people know what it contains and how they
    can use it.
    • Features- Let Marketplace Customers know what value they will get from using
    your listing.
    • Upload Image- attach relevant screenshots to be displayed on your listing to help
    your audience navigate easier and understand what it is that you are offering.
    • Paste Video URL- add relevant presentation / demo videos to your listing. Make
    sure they are in YouTube or Vimeo format.

  7. Files and Terms
    • Dependencies- Enter all dependencies of the content include tools/resources
    needed in order to use it. Any pre-requisite technologies need to be clearly stated
    (i.e. Salesforce account, ABBYY account, etc.).
    • License- choose the type of license that you will be using for your Content. For free
    listings, you can select and apply for an open-source software license or a
    Commercial License. For paid listings, we recommend opting for a Custom License
    (need to provide custom license link) that outlines the company’s own terms and
    conditions
    • Privacy terms- describe here how (and if) the listing you are submitting is
    processing the user’s personal data. You can share the Privacy Terms or link to
    applicable policies. By selecting ‘No’, you are confirming this listing does not
    process any personal information.
    • Documentation- Upload here the User Guide and other documentation necessary
    or helpful for the Content implementation/usage.
    • Support-

  8. Pricing (applicable for paid listings)
    • Listing Price: Input the price for your listing. There are no restrictions imposed.
    Please consider that the price includes access to the automation package,
    releasing updates & new versions and support for the package throughout the
    subscription period.(Currently, the platform supports USD only)
    • Quote request: You can allow customers to request a quote for your listing by
    checking Enable quote request. Please also specify if you want the price of your
    listing to be visible or hidden.
    • Subscription: The subscription period is fixed to a duration of 12 months with
    autorenewal.
    • Service Support: The support agreement is fixed to a duration of 12 months.
    • Taxes: The taxes refer to the ones you have added in the Taxes section in your
    Publisher Account menu.
    After you submit your listing, you will see the Thank You page :smiley: informing of the next steps your submission will undergo prior to it being published on the Marketplace.
