How to move existing IXP Projects between different Tenants?

Issue Description

How to move existing IXP Projects between different Tenants?

Root Cause

Currently, there is no option to move IXP projects from one tenant to another via the user interface.

Resolution

Workaround: At the moment, the only way to perform this action is by using the CLI.

  1. Navigate to GitHub.
  2. Install the CLI on the machine.
  3. Add two configurations to the CLI:
    1. One for the current location of the project.
    2. Another for the destination location.
  4. Download the existing project using:
    re -c <existing config> package download <project-api-name> --file <file name>.zip
    1. This creates a file named <file name>.zip containing all project information.
    2. Use the token generated from the My Account page of IXP for authentication.

  5. Upload the package to the new project using:
    re -c <new config> package upload <file name>.zip
    Optionally, use the --name option to provide a new name, for example:
    re -c <new config> package upload <file name>.zip --name this_is_the_new_name
  1. There may be a small delay between the upload and the files appearing in IXP. If the files do not appear within 30 minutes, re-upload the package.
  2. After confirming success, delete the file <file name>.zip from the machine, as it contains client data.

Additional Information

An internal TIF exists for the Product Team to implement a user interface feature that enables moving taxonomies in IXP from one tenant or organization to another.
