We have 15 production servers tagged under RPA application in the Bank, out of 15 servers one is Orchestrator application server, and one is Orchestrator DB server rest 13 servers are utilizing for executing the process. All these 15 servers are in DC servers.
In the Bank audit team instructed us to setup DR environment for the same 15 servers and now 15 DR servers also ready, so we request your help to achieve that how to map same license for DR servers and if DC servers are in active DR servers should be in inactive, If DR servers are in active DC servers should be inactive.
This can be achieve with help of network load balancer making it active/passive setup.
UiPath licenses can’t be active on DC and DR at the same time. The usual setup is to use the same license for both but keep DR as standby. DC Orchestrator and robots stay active, DR Orchestrator services and machines remain stopped or disabled. During a DR switch, stop Orchestrator services and robots in DC, then start and activate them in DR. This is handled via a manual or scripted DR runbook.
This is managed by keeping DR as standby. Use the same UiPath license for both DC and DR but never run them at the same time. Keep DC Orchestrator and robots active and DR services stopped with machines disabled. During DR, stop DC Orchestrator and robot services first, then start Orchestrator and robots in DR using the same license. This is handled through a DR runbook, not automatic license switching.
