If you’re planning to explore UiPath Test Manager in Test Cloud—whether for training, proof of concept, or production—you’ll need a few things in place first.
This post walks through the technical prerequisites and shares the official documentation links to get you up and running smoothly.
1. Install UiPath Studio 2024.10 or Later
Make sure you have UiPath Studio 2024.10 or newer to ensure compatibility with Test Manager features.
2. Install Activity Packages in Studio
In Manage Packages, make sure the following are installed and updated to v25.4 or later:
System.Activities
System Activities Package – Docs
UiAutomation.Activities
UI Automation Activities – Docs
Testing.Activities
Testing Activities – Docs
These packages enable test case design, automation interaction, and test execution.
3. Access Test Manager in Test Cloud
UiPath Test Manager is available via three deployment models:
- Test Cloud
- Automation Suite (on-prem)
- Standalone (on-prem)

4. Licensing Requirements
To use Test Manager in Test Cloud, you need two types of licenses:
a) Platform License
- App Test Platform – Standard or Enterprise

5. Enable Test Manager for Your Tenant
Provisioning is required even with licenses in place:
Steps:
- Log into your Test Cloud Admin Portal
- Go to Admin > Tenants > Services
- Add the Test Manager service
6. Start Using Test Manager in Test Cloud
Once provisioned and licensed, you can:
- Create requirements and test cases
- Link tests to automation projects
- Trigger and monitor test sets
- Integrate with Jira, Azure DevOps, and other ALMs
