How to extract data from Crystal reports

How to scrape unstructured data from Crystal Reports into a structured format. UiPath explorer considers the report viewer as one image.

Note: The report is within a Windows applications not web based.

No “export to excel” option for the report?

That’s what I am doing now… I was wondering if there was a better way to do it.

Thank you @vvaidya! The other idea we are planning to do is to hit the database directly and pull the data. This way we might have more control over the structure of the data.

Out of the two ideas of using the Export To Excel or the Database. We went with the database query.

That’s what I do. Since the Query is visible inside the Crystal Report, you can use the same db connection + Query and inside Excel and extract the same data your report uses. then you would need to apply the groupings, formats, etc
