How to enable the "VM" option under "UiPath hosted (Automation Cloud Robot)"?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently exploring the infrastructure options in UiPath Automation Cloud, and I’m very interested in using UiPath-hosted virtual machines to run my automations.

When I go to the infrastructure configuration page, under the “UiPath hosted (Automation Cloud Robot)” tab, I’ve noticed that the “VM - Run automations on UiPath virtual machines” option is disabled (greyed out), and I cannot select it. The only available option for me is “Serverless,” as you can see in the screenshot I’ve attached.

My assumption is that this feature might be dependent on my current subscription plan or a specific type of license.

Cloud Robots VM are licensed by Roboy Units with an starting cost of 2000RU/month (small non prod VM)

Probably your account does not have enough RU licensed to display that option as available. In the case that you are using a Community account it includes 300 RU so you can test Cloud Robots Serverless but won’t cover VM option

You shpuld have robot units for it to get activated

And for a small size vm itself you need atleast 2k units ..
