How to debug Insights Portal Issues?
Background:
Insights portal represents the UI and management portal for Insights. It does not handle the dashboards (but does provide access to dashboards). On standalone, it is the windows components.
Typically issues with the Portal component are related to permissions, configuring ROI, or provisioning users. This article covers the information to gather an order to debug an issue.
Diagnosing Issues:
- If the UI is displaying an error, check our KB articles. Address the issue with a more specific article
- If the UI displayed an error, take a screenshot
- If there is an an error in the UI, please get a HAR trace: HAR trace
- Start the trace before the error occur
- Please also check for for errors in the console log:
- In the developer tools there will be a tab for console. Go to this tab
- If there are errors, right click the screen and select "Save As"
- Additional logs to gather:
- Automation Suite:
- Generate a support bundle: Support Bundle
- Standalone:
- Collect the Insights Event Viewer logs: Event Viewer
- It is recommended to search for any errors found here in our KB articles as well
- Gather the Looker logs: Looker Logs
- Collect the Insights Event Viewer logs: Event Viewer
- Automation Suite:
- If the log gathering steps did not point towards the issue, raise a ticket with UiPath support, including all the information that was gathered.
