How to correctly configure smpt activity for sending emails

Hey guys

It seems that the send smpt activity has been updated, could you explain to me step by step how I should configure the image fields? Remembering that I use a server to execute the processes

Kindly note that newer version let you decide between the options:
*using Integration Service

However you need for both the connection details, like host, password…

Gmail SMTP Settings (for all Gmail accounts)

  • SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
  • Port: 587 (for StartTLS) or 465 (for SSL)
  • Secure Connection: StartTLS or SSL
  • Username: Your full Gmail address (e.g., yourname@gmail.com)
  • Password: Your Gmail password

Gmail IMAP Settings (for all Gmail accounts)

  • IMAP Server: imap.gmail.com
  • Port: 993 (SSL)

Gmail POP3 Settings (for all Gmail accounts)

  • POP3 Server: pop.gmail.com
  • Port: 995 (SSL)

Dear @amanda.gondim

If the idea is to send an email using SMTP - It requires some additional steps. I will try to explain the best possible way

Note: I am using Gmail server and account for sending now.

Step1: Install UiPath.Mail.Activities package to your project
Step2: Use activity called as Send SMTP Email
Step3: Instead of adding integration service, I would suggest you to go to properties and make Integration Service as False
Step4: Provide following server and port details. This is common for every gmail account. You will get this info while you google it

Step5: Entering the login details. You can enter your gmail account here
Step6: Entering your password. This is little tricky . Expectation is not to enter your direct password here. You are expected to enter Application Password for your account. To get the application password - Kindly follow below steps

Step7: Login to your gmail account. Normal login and click Manage Account

Make sure 2 step verification is enabled in the security Tab

Step8: Search for App password and click on this

Step9: Enter App Name and click on create

Step10: Note the password and Click Done

Step11: Come back to your code and enter this value in the password field

Now - Enter other email details and try to send
