We had this before…when UiPath was an UIAutomation SDK and Studio used for code generation only. Only that it was not easier… you will need to write a lot of code for a simple click: https://github.com/cbladd/UiPath/blob/master/Samples/GUI%20Automation%20API/CS/UI%20Automation/AutomationSample/ClickControl/Form1.cs

The thing is, the drag and drop of Studio streamlines the process. You can still write your custom activities though or (as mentioned) use Invoke Code activity
