How to Check if Excel is Password Protected

Hi,
We have a requirement to check if the excel file is password protected. If it is I have to email client about the issue. How do I check if excel is protected. Is there any activity?

Not sure abt activities , but if you try to open , pop up comes up , if u do a check app state on that you should be able to get if it’s protected or not, I guess

What about a workbook read range (just for the sake of checking the file) inside a try catch? Inside the exception area use something like: If - exception.ToString.Contains(“password”) - assign / write File is encrypted, or just set boolean var as true like password = True

Just try catch with checking exception message shoild do the job

Thanks @Anil_G . I am using that Try/Catch method only. Wanted to make sure there is a direct activity to check this to make things easier instead of Try/Catch. Will stick to the Try/Catch method only then.
