How to Change the Default Port for Tasktop

By default, Tasktop runs on port 8443. To change the port, follow the steps below:

  • Stop the PlanView service.

  • Navigate to the following directory: 'C:\ProgramData\Tasktop'

  • Rename the file 'tasktop-hub.properties.default' to 'tasktop-hub.properties'.

  • Open the 'tasktop-hub.properties' file in a text editor with administrator rights and Uncomment the line (#server.port=8443) by removing the # and update the port number as required.

  • For example, to change it to port 9443, modify it as shown below:

  • Save the file and restart the tasktop service.

  • After changing the port, the address used to access Tasktop (i.e., https://localhost:8443) will need to be updated with the new port number ( For example: http://localhost:9443).
