How to change the Data Directory of Insights?

Technical Overview: The Data Directory is where Insights stores the Elastic Cube. This step should be taken before the Cube is created (i.e. before enabling the Tenant).

Steps to Take:

  1. Go to the Windows Start Menu and type in “Sisense Server Console”
  2. Select the “Sisense Server Console”
  3. In the Console window, select the gear icon
  4. This will open the “Edit Server Preferences” window. From here select “Browse” and make the changes desired
  5. Post the modification, the cube will need to be rebuilt using the Insights Admin Tool .
