How to Automatically Refresh the Entire Page in UiPath Solution Apps Every 2 Minutes?

Hi everyone,

We are currently developing an application using UiPath Solution Apps and have a requirement to automatically refresh the application every 2 minutes.

We have a Custom List on the page whose data needs to be refreshed, but our requirement is not limited to the Custom List. We need to refresh/reload the entire page, so that all the controls and data displayed on the page reflect the latest information.

We would also like to have a Refresh button that allows the user to manually trigger the same refresh operation.

Our requirements are:

  1. Automatically refresh the entire page every 2 minutes.
  2. Refresh the Custom List as part of the page refresh.
  3. Ensure that the latest data is retrieved from the underlying process/data source after the refresh.

Is there a built-in rule, event, timer, or another approach that can be used to refresh/reload the entire page at a 2-minute interval?

Hi @Shreeya_Joshi,

Automatic refresh every 2 minutes is not recommended. Consider a case where the user is in the middle of filling out data on the page an automatic refresh at that point could disrupt their work or cause data loss.

Ideally, you should add a Refresh button instead. When the user needs the latest data, they can click the button to reload the page/application. You can also add a helper message near the button, such as Click Refresh to load the latest data, so users know when to use it.

As far as I know, Solution Apps does not have a built-in timer to refresh the entire page automatically.

You can use a Refresh button/rule to refresh the required controls or re-trigger the process that fetches the latest data. For the 2-minute automatic refresh, you may need to implement it through a custom approach.
