How does the citrix plug-in actually work?

Just wondering if anyone has the details on how the citrix plug-in is actually able to generate selectors within a citrix environment?

The UiPath Remote Runtime, which needs to be installed on the remote machine, reads selectors in the remote machine just like it would on your computer and then communicates the native selectors to the citrix plugin on your UIPath Studio. By talking to each other they can work out which selector your mouse is over in the remote session.
