Hello,
I’ve noticed that you could use Business Rules in Orchestrator.
How do you apply rules to an UiPath Workflows?
Are you referring to Automation ops policies? @pr1
If it is specific to Automation Ops - You can follow below steps
From Home Page - Go to Automation Ops
Under Policies - Add Product Policy. From the product list - you can select for which you want to enable policy. there are few set of standard policies available within UiPath which you could enable or disable. using the code of policy - You can search in UiPath doc to understand more about the policy details
Once the policy is created, Go to Deployment. You can deploy to a Tenant / Group / Users
Select the option and while deploying - you can select the policy which you created. After this - the policy will be reflected to all the BOTs which belongs to the selected tenant / group / user based on our selection

Thanks for the pointers, Ashok, but the documentation doesn’t explain how to make use of the rules .
What’s an Automation Ops?
These rules are more of useful in Agentic Framework which is upcoming feature just went into preview release.
The documentation and everything will be getting clearer once it will approach to general release.
It’s a UiPath product for policy control
Hi @pr1
Create a business rule in Orchestrator under the Business Rules section > > Publish the business rule in Orchestrator > > In UiPath Studio, use the Invoke Business Rule activity > > Set input/output parameters in the Invoke Business Rule activity > > Deploy and run the workflow in Orchestrator, which executes the rule.
Check this, Might be helpful. Thanks
Thanks Prashant. Which version of Studio includes Business Rule Activities? We’re using a 2023 version.
Make sure your UiPath.System.Activities package is updated to the latest version to access all business rule functionalities.
Check below:
I guess 2025 version is necessary. Unfortunately, we are using version 2023 for compatibility reasons. Could you please update the above documentation page, specifying the necessary UiPath version? Thanks.
Yes, I’m using v2025.
Many thanks Prashant !
