How can I grab a .msg file from my local hard drive, then move body and filename to Excel

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can:

  1. Grab an .msg Outlook file from a folder on my local hard drive folder (ie it’s not in Outlook)

and

  1. Copy and paste the body of the .msg file into a single cell in Excel

and

  1. Copy and paste the filename of the .msg file into another cell in Excel

Thanks!

  1. Try to open it via notepad and copy to clipboard
  2. Paste to variable
  3. write cell → set header as you wish
  4. write cell → from var in #2 .

I did not try it due to the fact you did not attach example file ,
